Equinox
Today we celebrate the Equinox (Equal Night and Day) as the first day of Vernal/Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere as the Sun passes along the Equator.
The perpetual ebb and flow of the Seasons...Equal Day and Night...
We need the Light to illuminate
our path in life
to guide us to our selves
and each other
We need the Dark to sleep
to recall our sacred dream
to guide us to heaven
and to earth
If we sought only the Light
we would be blinded
unable to see the world
in its totality
for it is the world that shifts
to and from the Sun's Light
and it is humanity that shifts
to and from the Inner Light...
Happy Spring/Autumn wherever you may journey...
As Above, So Below!
It is said that you can balance an Egg (Symbol of Rebirth)
on a flat surface during the Equinox.

Beautiful!!
nice. :-)
OK…I'll have me two equinoxes over easy with a side of grits and red-eye gravy…with whole wheat toast…oh…and give me one of those Dolphin-Blue Breakfast Drinks…I'll be eating it here.
Very nice!! =)
Beautifly said. The inner self is the co-equal of all that is, has ever been, and will ever be.
Absolutely spectacular!! I really love the vibrance of the images you've used! They just shout Spring-Energy! :)
So let the sunshine in
meet it with a grin
open up your heart
and let the sunshine in…
Here in Vancouver we need a Sundance Ritual to open up the sky
and let the sunshine in!
Thanks everyone for the comments!
P.S.: Bobbi…you make me laugh!…and I bet you make the best breakie/brunch ever!
Lovely! Balance the Eggs!
I'd rather balance on my own toes, or on a see-saw, or, preferably, a surfboard!
It's nicer to leave eggs to the birdies!
So many lovely bird couples, new flowers, tree limbs heavy with blossoms and others raining down filmy tiny garlands on my dogs' fur, and Spring is only getting into gear here!
Balancing our own natures is more to the point, spiritually, but the heady perfumes and outrageous blooms, the little ground squirrel couples chasing each other, the newborn foals on the hillsides, just everything makes it too impossible to think, to read, or to do anything but be outside - especially at night, as the waves take on even more restlessness, it seems, the moon grows closer, it seems, and night swimming or surfing under starlight begins, phosphorescence in the sand, lots and lots of magic!
Each season is filled with magic, of course!
Everything in nature is!
Happy Springtime!
