Fire The Grid

When I first heard about this event (check out: http://www.firethegrid.com/) I was somewhat skeptical,  yet somehow tapped into the synchronicity of the "buzz" surrounding this world meditation to be held on July 17, 2007, 11:11am GMT.  I didn't bother to read Shelly Yates story until after the event.

I made a committment to myself and to Gaia that I would open my heart and mind even more at this time.  I felt the power of life as I stood upon the earth, beneath the fire of the Sun, in the ocean water, drinking the fresh sea air...

I played with tiny crabs discovering how unique each one was...yet they all seemed rather timid at first...until our fear washed away with the ocean tide...I felt the static of the city being cleansed from my body as I floated upon the salty sea beneath a cloudless, blue sky.  I felt like a kid and I felt the unconditional love of the Great Mother.  I was seeing with my heart and it was filled with tranquility.

I felt so much love from my cats,  Ebony and Ivory, who have been loving companions for almost 14 years.  Even a neighbour's dog joined us on the porch as we witnessed a most amazing and colourful sunset.

Prior to the meditation,  occuring at 4:11 local time,  I took a shower and drank plenty of water to cleanse.  I stood skyclad upon a carpet of grass as the darkness of night gently transformed into the lightness of morning.  The Lifeforce was so strong.  Every sound seemed so distinct yet part of a sacred symphony.  The cats filled with curiousity (or knowing) watched as I took slow, deep breaths and raised my arms to the sky.  At some point I felt a surge of power in my solar plexus and connected with the One Heart.  As I held out my hand with a gesture of offering I felt an energy so heavy, yet so light.  I wondered how others were experiencing that moment in time...Light and Love seemed invincible in that moment...I touched both of my hands to the ground, giving thanks and praise, as I honoured our planet.

I realise that certain people scoff at this sort of thing...but what harm is there in joining others the world over in such an act of love and peace? Absolutely none.

So, after one hour I wanted to share my experience here....and yes...I finally read Shelly Yates awesome story of a miracle...I did not relate to it personally...felt somewhat concerned about the CD publicity...and do not neccessarily subscribe to certain of her beliefs...other than channeling energy in a positive way to our Mother Earth...my only regret was my neglect to fire the grid and cook up some tasty Pan Cakes...

 DolphinBlue,

I participated too.  It was early and my cats also came to add their energies. I lit a candle and it burned strong as I sat in peace. It flickered for no apparent reason several times, then burned strong and steady again. I allowed thoughts of the love and gratefulness I felt to fill the well inside and overflow.  At exactly half way through the hour the candle went out. No flame or flicker was visible for 10 minutes or more. Then I saw a tiny glow and a small light came back. It burned until the hour was over and I put it gently out.

All through the hour I felt so grateful to know so many were open and positive.  I do not have any idea what all was affected but I am convinced that the act of so many people opening to each other with peaceful positive intention will bring many benefits we may never connect with it.

I am glad to know you were there with us.

Carl Sagan said that humanity is a way for the universe to know itself…and it is also said that nature and art are a way for the universe to express the Cosmic Self…

…I was alone, but I was not lonely…

Thanks for sharing your experience…

one plus one does not always equal two
if you add one drop of water to another drop of water
you have a bigger drop of water

…so together we can all create an ocean of love…
